Gastropus stylifer Imhof 1891
Gastropus stylifer, a very colorful rotifer due to the pink body liquid and the blueish hypodermis. Such pink liquid may be also found in the plankton rotifer Kellicottia longispina. The arrowhead points to the opening of the dorsal antenna which is in the anterior half of the lorica. (1)
 
Gastropus stylifer, the (extended) foot located ventrally in the middle of the body and has a single toe, which is in contrast to Gastropus hyptopus and Gastropus minor (both species with 2 toes). (1)
